Changes to Hospital Blood Test Requests:
From 3 April 2026, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust have introduced a new system for requesting blood tests following the launch of their electronic patient record system.
If the hospital asks you to have a blood test, you will now receive a letter with a barcode label
Booking at the Surgery
Please call us as usual to book your appointment
You’ll be asked who requested the test
Bring your barcode label to your appointment
Without this label, we won’t be able to take your blood sample, as we don’t have access to the hospital’s system.

Torbay Hospital: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–5pm
Brixham Hospital: Tues & Fri, 9am–1:20pm
Paignton Health & Wellbeing Centre: Wed, 8:30am–3:40pm
